Psalms 103:12 says, “As far as the east is from the west, so far hath he removed our transgressions from us.” What a great thought that we no longer have to deal with the power, penalty, or be under bondage to those sins. There is a great expression of this idea in Leviticus as God gives Moses direction for the sin offering, and the scapegoat. During Sunday mornings message we looked at the concept of the scapegoat.
Our lives may have troubles, but in the end of it all, God is not surprised. He created order that directs us to where He knows that we need to be to fulfill His plan in our lives. However, it is not up to us to walk how we should walk. The way we live our lives will dictate the outcome of situations in our lives.
I have noticed a phenomenon lately. Since the legalization of certain gambling venues in Illinois, we have noticed an explosion of signs advertising slots. For many years people have tsk tsked the practice of gambling, but is it really something the Christian should shun?
In this mornings message I discussed the practice of gambling and the concepts of gambling that the scripture does deal with.
Listen to this message and hopefully it’ll help you on your journey with the Lord.
John was in prison looking at execution and he wanted some confirmation that he had placed his trust in the right place. How about you? Are you trusting in the right direction. Take time to consider if the path you are taking is the right one, or if you should look for another.
We make choices every day. Sometimes we do things that we don’t realize are choices, but they are. I have noticed that we will wait for God to do the supernatural, and many of those times God may be waiting for us to do what we can. I find that oftentimes we as Christians use prayer and the power of God to escape our own responsibility. Listen in and be challenged to make the best decisions.
